Greetings by dean

Thank you for visiting the homepage of Control & Instrumentation Engineering. Control & Instrumentation Engineering was installed in 1985 for the sound development of Changwon mechanical industrial complex founded in 1874, and was designated as the special department of this college at the same time, and it opened a doctor's course first time in school in 1992.

The industrial graduate school was opened in 1993 and received the intensive support of about 57 billion won from the companies such as government, Gyeongsang south province, Changwon City, and Doosan Heavy Industry as being designated as a national policy college of engineering as a supervision college of mechatronics field in 1994 to arrange a foundation for the academic development. Also, it was designated as the supervision college of the mechatronics field for thebrain Korea 21st business of the government in 1999 and received the support of about 20 billion won for 7 years, and it incorporated the Control & Instrumentation Engineering into the mechatronics engineering department in order to raise the educational effect in 2000.

The mechanical engineering is connected to almost all fields of the engineering that explores the general technology ranging from the mechanical design to the production in order to research the principle of the natural world about the mechanical technology making the human life convenient such as the aerospace, automobile, shipbuilding, all kinds of construction equipment and to put it to practical use.


Educational purpose

The Control & Instrumentation Engineering not only develops, produces, and manages the competitive product in the industrial field by educating the general skills ranging from the mechanic design to production in order to understand the principle of natural world about the machine to make the human's life convenient and put it to practical use but also produces engineers with the originality and leadership in other fields. The following educational goals are set for this.
1. Train engineers understanding the basic principle of the mechanical engineering field
2. Train the manpower with the practical experience and knowledge of the design and production.
3. Train the manpower with the creativity and field-utilizing ability.
4. Train the technical manpower with the local and global sense.


Major curriculum

It received the engineering education certification from Korean engineering education certification center Co. in December, 2003 and implemented ABEEK curriculum to build the education system that could produce the international technical manpower, and the major curriculum of each grade is as follows.
Freshman: Basic course of mechatronics consisting of the basic subject of the machine, electricity
Sophomore: Kinetics, solid mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, workshop practice, machine tool, theory of mechanics, design and production 1, 2
Junior/senior: Air conditioning and freezing, machine design, internal combustion engine, robotics, vital dynamics, numerical analysis, pneumatic system, fluid machinery, autonomous control, computer aided design, computer thermal fluid dynamics
Senior: Capstone design, creative synthetic design, graduation paper part: self-made car part (AK), robot part (RUSHM All For One), katiya part(Catis)
